Braille
What is Braille?
Braille is a type of language for the blind, where you put your hand over the "braille" and you can suddenly read it. This language was the main language Helen Keller used, asides from her little knowledge of sign language. Helen Keller learned braille when she was 7 years old, in 1887. Braille was created by Louis Braille with help from a soldier named Charlie Barbier, who taught the class a system of writing called night writing, for a secret code for the army. Louis Braille realized this could help the blind "speak." So realizing how complex the language was, he made his system with 6 dots instead of 12 dots like Charlie Barbier's code. The language of braille, contains cells. The braille cell consists of 6 dots, 2 wide and 3 tall, depending on the feeling of the braille, it would be a certain letter.
