Helen Keller
Helen Keller was born June 27, 1880 in Tuscmumbia, Alabama. Using braille and sign language, she was able to communicate. She was taught by her teacher, who was a lifelong friend and taught her the relationships between the world and language. After learning from Helen Keller, she pursued her life like a normal person. Helen Keller was the first deaf and blind person to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was an author, political activist, and a lecturer. She died at the age of 87, June 1, 1968.
